This month the Oxford Team have been supporting local charity Oxford Homeless Project alongside client Cathy Dunbabin who works for Oxford-based networking company Opendoorz.
Our goal was to provide the homeless with 100 winter coats just in time for Christmas. This was a great opportunity to involve the clients and raise awareness for the project to receive even more donations of winter coats and accessories.
We set out to make a difference to those who are less fortunate this time of year and were eager to get involved. For causes like this one there really is power in numbers and we were able to pull together and provide that for the Oxford Homeless Project.
Ms Dunbabin said: "Coats are desperately needed by the homeless at this time of year, it is getting cold out on the streets. My working world is all about connecting businesses and creating opportunities for them. Clarendon Business Centres are also supporting the 100 coats for Christmas Challenge too. I've been blown away by the generosity of people in donating wonderfully warm winter coats for the homeless. When I set the challenge, I thought I might have been being a little optimistic but within less than a month the total has been smashed. I cannot thank Clarendon enough for supporting this challenge and offering their network of serviced offices across Oxford as drop off points for people to take coats. To be honest I've lost count but today at least 80 of the coats have been donated via the offices. I can safely say I couldn't have achieved this without Clarendon's support. As the temperature drops the coats are so needed by homeless and it will make such a difference. It's so wonderful that Clarendon Business Centres were so instrumental in making this this happen.”
Coats are being donated to Belsyre Court, 57 Woodstock Road, Clarendon House, 52 Cornmarket Street, Sandford Gate, Eastpoint Business Park, or at Prama House, 267 Banbury Road.
